Do you give shots?
NO! But, sometimes kids pretend to give shots in my office. And sometimes kids talk about how scared they are about getting shots.

What do you do?
I’m a person who talks to kids about their thoughts and feelings. Sometimes kids like to talk and sometimes they prefer to play. There’s no right or wrong way to be in therapy.

How long do I get to stay in your office?
We have 50 mins together.

Do you have a kid? Or a pet?
Yes, I have a daughter and I have a very silly black lab.

When I turn 18 do I have to stop seeing you?
No, you are never too old to stop seeing me. As long as you want to come back, you are welcome to come back.

Will you tell my parents everything?
No, at age 13 children can access mental health care without an adult’s consent. I cannot share information with your parents about your mental health treatment with out your consent. However, parents can be a valuable support in therapy. I’d like to talk more about your concerns.
